Lodi, CA is a gem in the heart of California’s wine country (have I told you I am obsessed with California wine regions yet?!) This region offers a memorable and delicious journey for wine lovers. With its rich soils and ideal climate, Lodi’s vineyards and wineries beckon those who appreciate the fine art (eh taste) of winemaking. Let’s explore the best wineries in Lodi, California!

How to Get to Lodi, CA?
Lodi is located in the north-central region of California and is easily reachable by car from major cities like Sacramento and San Francisco. For air travelers, the closest major airports are in Sacramento (47 miles) and Oakland (82 miles).
Pssst: It’s also located just under 2 hours from Saratoga which is also jam-packed with amazing vineyards and wine tasting experiences!
History of Lodi Wine Region
Lodi’s wine heritage dates back to the 19th century. Famous for its Zinfandel, the region has diversified over the years, with a unique microclimate and soil composition that contribute to its rich variety of wines.
Today, you’ll find over 85 boutique wineries, 100+ varietals, and over 100 thousand acres of winegrapes. I truly can’t believe it isn’t more well-known! All of the underrated wine regions in California are amazing, including Lodi!
The Best Wineries in Lodi
In no particular order, here are my favorite wineries in (and near) Lodi, California. It’s officially wine-o’clock!
1. Fields Family Winery
- Address: 3803 E. Woodbridge Road, Acampo, CA 95220
- Hours: Daily, 11 AM – 5 PM
Fields Family Winery stands out for its artisanal approach to winemaking. Their tasting room offers an intimate and laid-back setting where visitors can enjoy a range of wines, from bold reds to crisp whites.
This winery was not initially on my list, however locals raved about the staff and wine so I knew I had to visit and it was 100 percent worth a stop.
2. St. Jorge Winery
- Address: 22769 N. Bender Road, Acampo, CA 95220
- Hours: Friday, 12 PM – 4 PM Saturday – Sunday, 12 PM – 5 PM
At St. Jorge Winery, the focus is on bringing Portuguese wine culture to California.
Visitors do need to make reservations for tastings, which are conducted in a tranquil, European-style setting (you will absolutely LOVE the ambience!)
The winery is known for its array of Portuguese varietals, offering a distinctive experience complete with educational sessions about the wines and their origins.
3. St. Amant Winery
- Address: 1 Winemaster Way, Suite D, Lodi, CA 95240
- Hours: Thursday – Monday, 11 AM – 4 PM
St. Amant Winery, a family-operated establishment, prides itself on producing a variety of high-quality wines (of which I can definitely confirm).
The tasting room exudes a warm, historical atmosphere where guests can explore an array of wines, including award-winning reds and refreshing whites.
The staff is known for their knowledge and enthusiasm, often sharing insights about the winemaking process and the winery’s history. It’s a great no-frills wine tasting stop in Lodi!
4. Klinker Brick Winery
- Address: 15887 N. Alpine Road, Lodi, CA 95240
- Hours: Daily, 11 AM – 5 PM
Klinker Brick Winery is celebrated for its Old Vine Zinfandel. The tasting room is inside of a beautiful and historic brick building with ample seating inside and out.
Tasting flights range from 10-20 dollars, but can be waived with the purchase of bottles. Reservations are highly recommended, however walk-ins are served on a first-come-first-served basis.
The winery frequently collaborates with local food trucks, allowing visitors to pair their wines with various local bites. Klinker Brick also hosts regular events, including vineyard tours, wine release parties, and live music.
5. D’art Hand Crafted Wines
- Address: 13299 N. Curry Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240
- Hours: Thursday – Monday, 11 AM – 5 PM
D’art Hand Crafted Wines combines the art of winemaking with a passion for creativity. The winery’s cozy tasting room is adorned with local artwork, creating an inspiring atmosphere.
They offer a diverse selection of wines, ranging from traditional varietals to unique blends. Visitors can enjoy guided tastings, often accompanied by small bites.
The winery also hosts art-related events and workshops, making it a cultural hotspot in Lodi.
6. Viaggio Estate & Winery

Viaggio Estate & Winery is a picturesque destination that offers more than just wine. With its elegant Italian-inspired architecture and lush gardens, it’s a perfect spot for a day out.
The winery provides a variety of tasting experiences, ranging from casual flights to more in-depth guided tastings. Known for their robust reds and crisp whites, Viaggio also hosts several events throughout the year, including live music and gourmet food pairings.
7. Acquiesce Winery & Vineyard

Acquiesce Winery & Vineyard stands out for its focus on premium white wines. Although I am a big red wine lover, this winery near Lido should still be on your list! It was actually awarded Lodi’s Winery of the year in 2023!
It’s set in a serene environment and offers tastings of their award-winning Rhône varietals in a quaint, elegant tasting room.
The vineyard setting is tranquil and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxing afternoon. They often pair their wines with light bites, emphasizing the flavors and aromas unique to each varietal.
8. Intercoastal Vineyards

Intercoastal Vineyards is renowned for its commitment to sustainability and innovative winemaking. The tasting room provides a laid-back, friendly atmosphere where guests can enjoy a range of wines, from classic Zinfandels to unique blends.
They are particularly known for their interactive tasting experiences, often featuring educational talks about sustainable viticulture. The winery frequently hosts local musicians, adding a lively vibe to the wine tasting experience.
9. Scotto’s Wine & Cider

- Hours: Wednesday – Friday, Sunday, 12 PM – 5 PM, Saturday 12 PM- 9 PM
Scotto’s Wine & Cider offers a unique twist in the Lodi wine scene, combining traditional winemaking with innovative cider production. It’s the perfect stop if you are traveling with a non-wine-lover!
The tasting room is cozy and inviting, perfect for trying their array of wines and ciders. Make sure to plan your visit on a Saturday where you will be met with exciting live music from 6:30-9:00!
10. Peltier Winery

Peltier Winery is an innovative winery known for its terroir-driven approach. The modern tasting room offers a diverse selection of wines, including some unique varietals and innovative blends.
There are over 24 wines to choose from and you can even serve yourself from an innovative WineStation. Then, enjoy your wine inside or on the scenic patio. Reservations are highly recommended in order to guarantee a table.
11. Oak Ridge Winery

Oak Ridge Winery, the oldest operating winery in Lodi, combines rich history with contemporary winemaking. The winery’s spacious and inviting tasting room allows visitors to sample a wide array of wines, from classic Zinfandels to innovative blends.
Oak Ridge is known for its friendly and knowledgeable staff, who provide insightful commentary on the wines and the winery’s history. You are able to bring in outside food and your leashed pup! It doesn’t get much better than Oak Ridge!
12. M2 Wines

M2 Wines is a boutique winery known for its modern architecture and innovative approach to winemaking. Their tasting room, with its sleek design, offers an array of exceptional wines, focusing on Zinfandel, Syrah, and Viognier.
The winery provides an educational and immersive tasting experience, often featuring limited-edition wines. M2 Wines also hosts various events, including vineyard tours and wine release parties, making it a lively destination for wine enthusiasts.
13. Michael David Winery

- Hours: Daily, 10 AM – 5 PM
Michael David Winery is one of Lodi’s most iconic and adventurous wineries. It’s a definite favorite of mine.
Known for their bold and richly flavored wines, the winery offers a dynamic tasting experience in a rustic yet refined setting. Visitors can enjoy a range of wines, including their famous “7 Deadly Zins.”
The winery also features a café serving farm-to-table fare, perfectly paired with their wines. The meat is even sourced directly from the local 4H program!
14. Estate Crush

- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Saturday – Sunday 11:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Estate Crush is a unique urban winery specializing in small-lot, handcrafted wines. The tasting room offers an intimate setting where visitors can sample a diverse selection of wines, including some exclusive to Estate Crush.
The winery provides a behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process, often hosting interactive and educational wine-related events.They even have a tour where you can join the owner himself in an all-inclusive tour (complete with the opportunity to pounch down fermenting grapes!)
15. Barsetti Vineyards

Barsetti Vineyards, located in the nearby town of Galt, is known for its traditional winemaking techniques and family-friendly atmosphere.
The tasting room, situated in a historic building, offers a range of classic Lodi wines.
Visitors can enjoy guided tastings and learn about the family’s winemaking heritage.
16. Berghold Vineyards & Winery

Berghold Vineyards & Winery is a family-owned estate known for its elegant wines and stunning Victorian-style tasting room.
The winery specializes in estate-grown varietals, offering a selection of robust reds and aromatic whites. Visitors can enjoy a luxurious tasting experience for just 15 dollars, often accompanied by tours of the beautiful grounds and the winery’s extensive collection of antiques.
17. Oak Farm Vineyards

Oak Farm Vineyards combines historical charm with modern winemaking. Set on a picturesque estate, the winery offers a tranquil tasting experience in their elegantly designed tasting room or on the scenic outdoor patio.
Known for their diverse range of varietals, Oak Farm provides educational tastings and often hosts events, including yoga in the vineyard and live music weekends. Reservations are recommended on weekdays, but required on weekends.
18. Peirano Estate Vineyards

Peirano Estate Vineyards, rooted in rich family history, is renowned for its estate-grown wines that reflect the Lodi terroir. The winery’s rustic tasting room offers a cozy and authentic wine country experience.
Visitors can explore a variety of wines, including some rare and old-vine selections. It’s one of my favorite wine tasting rooms in all of Lodi due to the beautiful panoramic views of the vineyards!
19. Spenker Family Farm Winery & Creamery

Spenker Family Farm Winery & Creamery is a unique destination offering both wine and artisanal goat cheese. This family-run farm provides a charming and rustic experience, where visitors can taste a selection of wines paired with their handmade cheeses.
The winery hosts various events, including cheese-making classes, goat yoga, and vineyard tours, providing a truly immersive farm-to-table experience.
20. The Dancing Fox Winery & Brewery

The Dancing Fox is a versatile destination offering not only wine but also beer and a full-service restaurant.
The venue, with its whimsical décor, provides a warm and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a range of handcrafted wines and beers, along with a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients.
You can even reserve a tour to get a behind the scenes look of the ice house facility and the beer and wine making process. Wine tasting and housemade bread pairings are included in your tour!
The Dancing Fox is also known for its bakery, serving fresh artisan bread and pastries, making it a perfect spot for a leisurely lunch or dinner.
