I’m Eleanor Vance — a wine tinkerer, occasional cellist, and slow traveler. I trained as a sommelier in London, took a sabbatical that became a habit, and now I write about places that make good wine and the people who make them well.

This site is editorial, not promotional. I pay for every flight, every glass, every hotel. When I link to a booking platform it’s because I’ve used it. When I link to a wine, it’s because I drank it.
